TEN BUSES DELIVERED TO „VEOLIA”

„Ikarbus” has delivered ten buses to „Veolia”, one of the largest transport
companies in the world. These are IK-103P buses, intended for suburban
transport of passengers, which will enhance the fleet of „Litas” Transport
Company from Požarevac, which is, after privatization, owned by „Veolia”.
„Veolia” is a multinational company that operates on several continents and
owns a fleet of about 50.000 busses. In addition to the bus transportation,
the company also operates other types of transportation (subway, light railway, taxi, etc).
„Veolia” has already bought two transport companies in Serbia:
„LUV – Braća Šarac” and „Litas” from Požarevac.etc.
SIGNED CONTRACT ON EXPORT OF 350 BUSES TO DUBAI

November was for „Ikarbus” the most successful month in regards to its business
in 2007. An important contract was signed with „Harington” from the United Arab
Emirates on export of 350 city buses. The contract stipulates that manufacturing
of the buses should be partially completed in „Ikarbus”, and that the buyer would
later install gearboxes, engines, windows and seats. The total
value of the contract is EUR 27 million.The first buses will leave for Dubai
in February, and the delivery should be completed in September 2008.
Because of this and other contractual obligations, the
production in „Ikarbus”
will, after a long time, be organized
in two shifts

DELIVERS 100 BUSES TO BELGRADE
October 12th 2007.
Company „Icarbus” won the tender for the purchase of 100 buses for City
Transport Company Belgrade announced by City Assembly. In accordance with the
agreement, the plant in Zemun will deliver 55 flexible joint buses and 45 solo
buses by May 2008. The purchase is worth of 25 million EUR.
These are low-floor buses with EURO 4 engine, equipped with air-conditioning
systems, platform for uninterrupted entrance of handicapped persons and women
with children, automated driver’s work post, engine fire signalling devices,
etc.
THE FIRST MINI BUS FOR ITALIAN MARKET

„Ikarbus“ presented its latest bus model – mini bus „M231“,
manufactured in
cooperation with a strategic partner from Italy – bus factory Bredamenarinibus“
from Bologna. This marked the start of the implementation of the agreement on
strategic partnership with the Italian company until
2017, eligible for extension. The agreement stipulates joint bus production,
industrial cooperation, techology transfer, development
of new products and
components as well as joint sales of buses
and components in the
international
market. „Ikarbus” and „Bredamenaribus” are set to manufacture jointly up to 200
buses on an annual basis, to be assembled in the „Ikarbus” facilities.„M231“ is the most modern type of the city mini bus manufactured according the
EU security and comfort
standards. A part of the rich equipment package is the
system for satellite navigation, separate cooling system for driver and
passangers, electrically powered movable platform for disabled passangers,
security entrance and exit cameras and electronic device for counting
passangers, rear view reverse camera, etc.
PRESENTED
MEDICAL VEHICLE

„Ikarbus“ presented its first medical vehicle manufactured by this company
according to the licence of the French company TIB from Brezol. This is the
state-of-the-art medical vehicle, totally equipped for reanimation and surgical
interventions. Under the licence contract, „Ikarbus“ purchased from TIB the
right to sell the vehicles in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Hungary,
Greece, Romania, Slovak Republic, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and Near and Middle
East Countries.
Ikarbus awarded two Prestige Oscars

At
the International Car Fair in Belgrade, the Forum of Automobile Journalists of
the Association of the Journalists of Serbia, awared „Ikarbus” two Prestige
Oscars. This impportant award, given by journalists specialized for car
industry, were given to „Ikarbus” for the category „Minibus of the Year” and in
the category „The largest manufacturer of the bus of the year”.
A
succes at the Brands Fair

Ikarbus had a successful presentation at the Thrid International Brands Fair
held in Belgrade from 8-10 March. This event is gaining importance with each
year. This year, among others, it brought together famous international brands
like Microsoft, Nike, Max Factor, Mc’ Donalds, Diners Club International,
Peugeot, etc. The presentation of „Ikarbus” and attractive perfomance during
the central promotion attracted the attention of many visitors, guests and media
representatives. |
